On Windows, applications usually interact with webcams using a set of APIs provided by the operating system. These APIs may be designed to grant exclusive access to the camera, meaning that only one application can use it at a time. This behavior is intentional and is often implemented for security and privacy reasons.
In other words, when using Windows laptop or PC, please make sure to use 1 app at a time with your webcam. Close previous applications like CoolpoTools before starting Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet, etc.
Please download CoolpoTools (for Pana and Mini) from Coolpo official website，Once installed, you can go to the "Update" tab and click the "Update Firmware" button.
~First check whether the USB cable at the bottom of the device is connected to the computer normally
Under normal circumstances, if the USB of Coolpo’s device is connected to the computer normally, you can use video software or conference software to enumerate Coolpo PANA Camera or Coolpo Mini Camera
If the corresponding camera cannot be found, please check whether the connection between the USB cable of the device and the computer is normal
~The computer can identify the cameras, but cannot connect to CoolpoTools?
If this happens, please try to restart the device first (turn off the power and restart the device), and wait for the blue light on the bottom of the device to see if CoolpoTools can find the device.
~The firmware version is too low, CoolpoTools cannot recognize the device
This situation may be more common. CoolpoTools does not recognize devices with the earliest firmware versions. The solution is to manually upgrade through the "USB mode". The detailed steps are as follows:
~~Restart the device (you can restart it by powering it off or pressing the power button 3 times quickly to restart), and enter the standby mode.
~~In standby mode (note that the bottom light is not on in standby mode), press and hold the power button until a new disk drive appears on the computer.
~~Quickly format the Pana’s disk drive
~~Copy the firmware** update21090820.img file to the formatted disk drive (note: the name of the firmware should not be modified, otherwise the firmware to be upgraded will not be recognized)
